Amazing Blessing!

We just recently spent some time with family and friends in Colorado. It was there that I met Scott Lyons and felt Reece Buxton kick... let me just tell you it was awesome! :) Thank God for Scott joining us here on earth. Thank God for Reece growing healthy in his Mommy's tummy.

As most of you know we lost our first child due to a miscarriage. I now realize that if we can't have our child right now here with us the second best thing is nephews. It was amazing! There is no denying that God is in every part of creating a child! It was such a huge blessing and thank God for that opportunity.

Thank you Kelly for letting me hold Scott! Thanks Jessi for letting me have my hand on your stomach for awhile because Reece didn't want to kick right away!

Job 1:21

Job 1:21 says: The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Just recently Cory and I found out that we were going to have a baby. We were so excited and were waiting in anticipation till I could start going to doctor appts and all that stuff. We soon realized that God had a different plan for our baby. Without getting into to many details I had to go to the ER on that Saturday because something wasn't right. After some test they said that I possibly had a miscarriage. They wanted me to go to the doctor on Monday and have my HCG levels checked. So we had to wait till Monday and we went in and after waiting for what seemed like a really long time we found that my levels had dropped and I wasn't pregnant anymore. It was very upsetting but we had to remember who is in charge of this whole situation. We were so heartbroken and all we could say was, "Lord please take of our baby in Heaven."

It has been a struggle but with God's grace and our family and friends we are making it through. I just ask if you read this just know that right now praying is the best thing you can do for us. We have talked with some Godly men and women that surround us and they have given us great advice. At this point since it is still pretty fresh a lot of comments might be overwhelming since we are trying to heal from this. Thank you for praying for us!

Love,
The Lyons

God is so good!

Update:

We've been having a wonderful time in Michigan. Beacon Baptist has been and continues to be such a blessing! On Wednesday night Cory and I both spoke in Awanas to different age groups. Cory got the 3rd thru 5th grade boys and I spoke to the Sparkies! A lot of the times when we are at churches I do not have to speak a lot so I was a little nervous but it turned out great. After service we went out to eat with Pastor Reilly and some of his family. Then last night we went to Old Chicago with Pastor Watts and his family where we got the opportunity to share with them a lot about all the different aspects of our team in Manila. Tonight we will be attending a mission's banquet where there will probably be tons of food that I shouldn't eat. :)

Blessing:

-Pastor Gilbert picked us up from the airport and automatically told us he was taking us on for support.
-The church will also pay for our airplane tickets which is such a great blessing!
-We are scheduled for 22 churches in 2010...pray for our safety as we travel and that we could get taken on for support by all 22 churches.
-Pray that we would meet many more churches along the way that could also support our ministry.
-Pray that Cory and I could be a huge blessing to these churches as they are to us.

Thought for the week:

Here recently I have been hearing a lot of people saying "Where is your spot at?" Now I know this sounds really weird but I am talking about the location of where you asked Jesus into your heart. I hope that everyone that reads this can stop and think right away where this was for you. If you can't please don't wait any longer just stop right where you are and ask Jesus to forgive you.

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to give some updates and let people know where we are going and how to pray for us. Tomorrow we are flying to Detroit and will be involved in a conference in Michigan. Pray for our safety in our traveling and that we can be a real blessing to the people of Beacon Baptist Church.
